Bottom fishing is still producing good numbers of vermilion snapper, trigger fish, grunts, gag grouper, Amberjack etc. Nearshore the Spanish mackerel, blues and shark fishing has improved the past week after the passing of the last tropical depression. Inshore the slot reds are still around in good numbers with a few speckled trout in the mix and there’s already a fair showing of the old drum (bull reds) which should only improve from now through late September.
